What is AromaTouch?
When someone mentions the word aromatherapy I would start to imagine scented candles in a dark room…I never really thought about what an aromatherapy session really is, or what the benefits could be. I mean I’ve had my fair share of massages and facials and everything else on the spa menu, but, when it comes to aromatherapy I just figured it was some sort of cocktail of the rest of the treatments I’d already had before. So, when Studio Booth decided to start providing the AromaTouch service I signed right up to experience it for myself.
Here is a list of the oils that were to be used during my session:
- Balance (promotes tranquility & balance)
- Lavender (calming & relaxing)
- Melaleuca (cleansing & regenerative)
- Peppermint (eases breathing & a digestive aid)
- Wild Orange (energizing & revitalizing)
- AromaTouch (soothes irritated tissue & increases circulation)
- Deep Blue (eases joints & muscles)
- On Guard (supports healthy immune system function)
Not only was my session healing and therapeutic, the effects continued for days after my service. The AromaTouch Technique uses simple hand techniques with essential oils to create a powerful whole body wellness experience. From one session it addressed four systemic constants that are present in daily life: stress, immunity, the inflammatory response, and autonomic imbalance. The aromatherapy session had such an incredible calming effect on my body it seemed to negate the effects of stress for days leaving me feeling light and more leveled.
This is the kind of service that not only do I intend to get regularly but I strongly recommend it to our clients as well. It’s great for prior to special events (especially brides a few days before the wedding!) or meetings, or after a stressful week in need of some detox. The session is booked with our AromaTouch Certified, Susan, and is a 30 minute service for $70.
